“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments which take our breath away.”
Testimonials from Funerals which I have personally lead:
17th June 2016: “Paul – thank you for being a brilliant Celebrant for J. It really wasn’t a day I had been looking forward to, but your skill in crafting all the memories and stories we shared into a touching Ceremony made the saddest of days so much more bearable. Many people commented on the inclusiveness, and how it felt as though J was right there with us. He was your childhood school friend who you knew for over 40 years, yet you made us all feel safe and your opening words really spoke for (and embraced) the emotion and grief present among over 170 of his friends and family. People laughed and cried and were, as you saw, visibly moved throughout. What you did for J, his parents and myself today will always be remembered with such great affection. Again, thank you. G.”
3rd November 2017: “Paul, Just a little note to say thank you very much. As I said before, it’s very much appreciated. We know how hard you have worked to allow us to say such a tender farewell to our little one in such a short space of time. Once again, thank you for all of your help and effort. Love, L, N and F.”
13th November 2017: “Paul – you put together and held such a moving and beautiful Ceremony for R this afternoon. It all came together perfectly and we loved it! Thank you again.” S, P and all of R’s friends.
22nd November 2017: “We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the service you did for Dad today. It was wonderful and really fitting. I know a couple of people came to you straight after, asking if you knew P personally and his Grandson was also visibly moved by your loving tribute. Thanks, also, for your support of me that gave me the strength to carry my Dad in on the morning. We’ll never forget what you’ve done for us” Love, R, W, H, D and P’s grandchildren.
4th December 2017: “That was an absolutely beautiful service for E. Simple, loving and gentle – exactly how she would have wanted it and you captured her character perfectly. To be able to sense all of that from our brief meeting shows you have a real talent for your work. Thank you again. ” R & P.
21st December 2017: (From the Funeral Director) Paul, that was beautiful. Of all the services I have sat in on lately (and that’s a lot) I have never heard anything quite like your one at all. I was captivated. You did an amazing job for A’s family (and us). It was so heartfelt, and communicated with a genuine warmth and sincerity. Thank you so much.
21st December 2017: (From the Family) Just to say many thanks for conducting the funeral for A this week. So many people commented on your lovely service and it was one of the nicest funeral services we have ever attended, mostly due to your sensitivity and compassion. Wishing you the very best for 2018. A, C, G & C.
4th January 2018: Thank you for making G’s service so memorable for us – you lead really a beautiful service, and it went so smoothly. Even the weather brightened up as we’d asked him to make the sun shine for us. You were simply amazing. Love, K, G, R & C.
8th January 2018: Just a quick note to say thank you for today. Some people asked if you were a friend of the family; but everyone we spoke to said they felt it captured Dad really well, and didn’t feel as though someone was delivering a service ‘by the numbers’. It was so personal to him. Even the one little ‘fluff’ “Mr Jo Bangles, sorry Mr Bo Jangles” was so well timed it would have made Dad chuckle! You made us all smile there, just when we needed it. Thank you again, Love, A, J, W and S, and R, S, H and L.
10th January 2018: Thank you for a very moving Ceremony for J. Everyone who attended said it reflected J as they remembered her. The younger ones knew her as a gentle, quiet lady always ready for a laugh. You made it work perfectly for both generations. Thank you again for a lovely service, I will be forever grateful, T, P, S and I.
10th January 2018: Oh my – what a personal and intimate service! I know there were only 11 of us, but you made it feel like we were the only people in the world who mattered as we said our goodbyes to D today. Even the family who came up from Wales loved you to bits – and the venue. The sunset we could see over London as we left was beautiful – and really echoed with your own words during the committal. It was as if the sun knew. Love, B, H and J.
11th January 2018: Thank you, Paul. You’re an amazing man. You led a beautiful, spacious service for J. Thank you for all your support over the last 2 weeks, and for giving K and J the strength to deliver their own words. It meant so much to everyone. J,J, K and L.
12th January 2018: Paul: Thank you. You did E proud today in true East End style, and you had her to a ‘Tee’. Everyone was already speaking about how lovely the service was before we even left, and I have had telephone calls saying how lovely it was in the days since, too. I will never forget this day – it was perfect – and that’s all down to you and Jeremy. Thank you again. Love C, R & B.
16th January 2018: Paul – Just want to say a massive thank you for Dad’s service on Tuesday. It was perfect for both him and us. Everyone thinks you’re brilliant and such a lovely man. I have kept your card and will always recommend you if people need you, and I’ve kept your number just in case, if you don’t mind? Toasting Dad with a final ‘cheers’ as the curtains closed and we all took a tot from our hip flasks was the crowning glory! Thank you again. Love D, T, D and Family.
18th January 2018: That was so perfect Paul, we can’t thank you enough. Today was so hard saying farewell to our little one, but your empathy and compassion struck a note with us from the first time we meet you. Your Ceremony was perfectly planned & written, and communicated with that same emotion on the day, not just like someone was reading words on a page. How you managed it, we’ll never know, but everyone said you were amazing. Thank you again for making our hardest goodbye so special and perfect; just like T was to us. Love T & Y.
25th January 2018: Thank you, Paul. That was such a lovely service, and you had J to a tee. It was him all over. Love S & R.
26th January 2018: Paul, Thank you for everything you did to make sure S’s service went so well. From start to finish it was just perfect, the care you took from the time you met us was excellent. I know people always say ‘it was such a lovely service’ but it really was. A beautiful time filled with memories and love, and I know S would have approved. So many people asked about you. Thank you so much. It was exactly what I wanted – you made it all possible. Love, J, J, A, H & S.
30th January 2018: That was a brilliant service. Paul It was light-hearted, honest, tender and loving and will leave us with many beautiful memories of R. From everyone joining in the singing, to people spontaneously applauding those who spoke. Thank you for supporting C & L to give their own readings, too. What you wrote and delivered was a work of pure genius! Thank you. Love, B, R and all of R’s Grand/Great Grandchildren and friends.
5th February 2018: Paul – that was such a lovely service. All about Mum. You have left us with some lovely memories of that special time. and it really felt like all the time in the world was ours that morning at Forest Park. You’ve done so much to ease our pain – you made us feel safe. We would not have got through the day without your support and kindness. Love, J, P and B.
14th February 2018: Paul. Thank you so much for helping us to put together a beautiful service for G. You made a horrible time so much easier for us to deal with. You were kind and listened to our ideas, and understood what our needs were and the way we wanted everything to run. We can definitely say we gave G the perfect send-off. Thank you again, M, R & B.
14th February 2018: Thank you for leading J’s service. I know it was a complex funeral, and the timings were tricky but you held it together beautifully. The eulogy was spot-on – as if you had actually known her. Everyone commented after how much they enjoyed it (if you can say that for a funeral!) The photo’s and video tribute bought back so many lovely memories. Thank you also for your compassion and gentleness towards A, and understanding his own anxieties. I know he would have greatly appreciated that. Love S & A.
20th February 2018: Paul – thank you for everything – that was amazing. Especially the Dr. Who themed committal words as D was buried outside. How creative. You made it all about him, and the little chapel was packed with people who knew D from all walks of his life.
22nd February 2018: That was the most gentle and beautiful service I have ever been to, Paul. You listened to what we needed as a family and delivered the service in such a way so as to reflect S’s character, whilst also easing our worry abut taking children and grand children to their first funeral.
23rd February 2018: Paul – We just wanted to say a huge, heartfelt thank you for the lovely tributes you delivered for Dad. You made the day a very memorable one as it was the Celebration of Dad’s life we all wanted. Family and friends made so many lovely comments about the service. You bought the whole service together and gave the whole family your support. You also gave me the confidence to deliver my eulogy which mattered very much to me. Thank you so much again. Love, P, A & Family.
23rd February 2018: Your skill and professionalism shone through today, Paul. Your own passion for travelling could be felt in the delivery of our service for B, as she, too was a keen traveller. You amazed everyone on the day due to the unfortunate circumstances which unfolded. The only thing missing was your wings!
27th February 2018: What a lovely service you did for Mum, Paul. Thanks for listening so much and getting it spot on. We didn’t want a long service, and you achieved that without making us feel like it was rushed either – especially when people went to place flowers by her coffin. That felt timeless and leaves us with nothing but treasured memories of a lovely lady. Just as we wanted.
27th February 2018: Paul – what can we say. From the moment we met you, your guidance and support of us as a family has been dignified and unwavering; far beyond what we could have hoped for at this difficult time. You crafted and led the most tender and personal of ceremonies for Y. It was such a relief to have you and N, the Funeral Director. You are both exceptional, and your care and compassion are first rate. You made such a difficult and grief-filled time a lot easier for us to bare, and helped us to achieve the participation of everyone who attended on the day in helping them to say their farewells to Y. Thank you so much. Love, Y, B, S and J.
28th February 2018: Paul – we have been re-united after 24 years! How on earth could that have happened, except by chance? You made us feel at ease straight away and lifted a big weight from us both at a time when we were worried. We knew we could count on your professionalism and support from the word go. You put together and led an incredibly fitting tribute for Dad. It did him and his achievements justice, but, also, fully acknowledged our own personal loss. The way you spoke our personal words was filled with a sense of pride and the right emotion, which you picked up on when we first met. Thank you so much, and keep in touch. K & E.
2nd March 2018: Paul – You are amazing at what you do. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for the amazing send off you gave to both T and S. You did them both proud. You’re top rate and we would recommend you to everyone. Once again, thank you. Love, A, J and the whole family.
7th March 2018: What a brilliant service, Paul. You gave H the perfect send-off and spoke about him in a brilliant way. You bought all the stories we told you about him to life. But what got everyone was your beautiful act of taking one of the white roses for our little dog, Henry, and placing it on H’s coffin. Henry loved you when you visited us…but no one was expecting it and it just made everyone go ‘Ahhhhhhh’. Beautiful, and thoughtful. You’ve left us all with great memories of H perfect send-off. Thank you so much. Love C, R, M and H and families.

26th March 2018: Paul – Just Wow! You created and delivered an amazing and very special Ceremony for K today. It was absolutely brilliant – a whole hour of him which was spot on all the way through. People asked how long you’d know us…but we were honest and told them ‘about 4 hours!’ Seriously, everyone sung your praises straight after we exited, and we saw a lot of people go to you directly. We were so glad to see you come back to the wake for a proper chat with us all. Thank you, thank you for everything – and for your support of us as a family. You were totally brilliant! Love D, C, S, E and families.

You weren’t ‘stuffy’ and it was so nice to hear people chuckle as you told the stories we shared about him, but we also felt your own emotion too when you read out words on behalf of our family. For me that was the highest tribute. I have been to services where the person conducting them clearly had no grasp of what sort of person they were talking about. I know in this world where we don’t all know a local priest, or they us, it is very difficult, but you managed it. Our sincere thanks. V, N, A, P and families.

Afterwards, back at the house, we had people coming up saying “I didn’t know D had done ‘this’ and ‘that”, so you “painted” a really wonderful picture of her life. Anyway Paul, thank you so much – it was greatly appreciated. M, G, P and family.

It was just lovely to have a relaxed chat about his life with you sitting with us, then sharing the poem closer to him. It left Mum very uplifted that he got the ‘no fuss’ send off he would have wanted. It ran so smoothly and we can’t thank you enough. Y, L and J.
27th March 2019: You did a really good job for us Paul. Very professional from start to finish giving us the ‘not too long’ but tender farewell for L which we wanted to have. Everyone commented on how beautiful it was, especially our family from overseas. A and families.

10th April 2019: We’d like to thank you for the heartfelt and lovely service you led for Dad at Parndon Wood, Paul. Your words were just beautiful. Everything ran so smoothly and many thanks for your support of our family, too as we read our own tributes. V, P, I, C and familes.
15th April 2019: Thank you Paul for your help in laying Mum’s ashes to rest. We didn’t know what to do in terms of a service, but were really pleased you were recommended to us. The brief but beautiful Ceremony you created for that was just perfect – and we’re sure Mum would have loved it herself. Love, J and family.

5th June 2019: Paul – we just wanted to say thank you so much for today and for travelling all the way up to Leeds to lead our Mum’s Funeral. It all went perfectly. A big thank you for making our Mum’s last day so special. Love S & S xxx

24th June 2019: Thank you for such a wonderful service and tribute at Greenacres in Epping today for M, Paul. Everyone said how beautiful it was. Thanks, also, for managing the unscheduled speakers…it meant so much to M’s family. A’s humorous description of M in a car and her back seat driving was so spot on, it helped with our grief for a few moments. You’ve been so kind to us. Love, M, H and all M’s family.
26th June 2019: Hi Paul. Thank you for the lovely words you wrote and spoke about Dad. You really did a wonderful job of expressing his character and what he meant to us. Love, M, A & G.
2nd July 2019: Dear Paul,
I thought I would just drop you a quick email to say thank you for your work yesterday.
As we discussed when there is more than two families involved and decades of addiction it was always going to be difficult service and a need for the upmost sensitivity, I must say your attention to detail and the effort you obviously applied in your preparation and research resulted in a detailed delivery with all areas receiving coverage. Along with well chosen words, it was an excellent reflection of my brothers life, for which we deeply appreciate.
The competency of what you did was noted by many who attended and was much commented on at the wake, I would have no hesitation in recommending your services to others and allowing this commendation to be used in part ,or fully, as a testimonial on your website.
Thank you once again.
3rd July 2019: Paul, Thank you so much for everything you have done for us for Mum’s Funeral – and for your lovely, beautifully written words. Your eulogy was so spot on, many people thought you’d actually known her! Thank you from all of us. Love M, L, S and families.
8th July 2019: Thank you Paul for a beautiful, gentle service for D. We didn’t want anything long and you listened to exactly what we wanted to achieve in saying our goodbyes. It wasn’t easy, but you communicated the whole service both gently and with love. Love, J, T and family.

22nd July 2019: Hold on, Paul, I’m coming in for a hug! It was the most fitting goodbye and you certainly did him proud today” Love D, L, J, J and families.

7th August 2019: Dear Paul. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping to make the perfect send off for J. Your support was (and is) very much appreciated. As Mum said, I hope not to see you again for a long time, unless I bump into you shopping or the like! Thank you, also, for the beautiful presentation scripts for J & Y. The fact that you backtracked to 2018 and went to the extra effort of producing one for Y means so much. Mum was very touched by your kindness too. Love S, P, Y & B.
9th August 2019: Paul – thank you. Thank you for such a well spoken, gentle and fitting send-off for P this afternoon in the beautiful traditional chapel at City of London – and for the beautiful presentation copy of the whole service. Love B, and all P’s friends who attended.

23rd September 2019: Paul. Thank you for everything you have done for us to make today’s sad goodbye to W so special. The cemetery was full of family, friends and his colleagues, all paying tribute. Thank you for everything. Love, M, L and families.
27th September 2019: Paul, thank you for everything. You pretty much hit the nail right on the head with your lovely service you put together and delivered so beautifully for Dad. Love P and families.
11th October 2019: Thank you for getting Dad’s service just perfect. You really did a good job on Friday and told his story beautifully. You really did him proud, Paul – so much so, that some of our family genuinely thought you had known Dad personally. Love C, F, J and families.
7th November 2019: Paul, thank you for such a beautiful Funeral for J. As an old man, I’ve been to a lot of these, but yours really is one of the nicest. Your words were so warm and sincere. Love J, M and families.

13th November 2019: Paul, we’d like to thank you for the service you so warmly led for Mum today. Without having even met us, you were so kind and understanding whenever we chatted on the telephone. Thank you for sour support and gentle suggestions which came together to make it a beautiful afternoon to remember. Love K, R and families.
22nd November 2019: Dear Paul, I’ve been wanting to write to you to say thank you. You were an amazing support to us during those surreal and painful days trying to plan the funeral and of course on the day itself. I know you dedicated huge amounts of time and energy into ensuring the service was just right for Paul. It was evident how much genuine care and love you put into it, for which I am very grateful. It must be very strange as a celebrant, to work so closely and intensely with people and to then step away from their world after the service has taken place. But I have thought about you and everything you did for us a lot since. I hope you have a very happy Christmas and New Year. Love, R, B & N.
27th November 2019: Dear Paul. What a wonderful Funeral you created for Mum yesterday. Small, intimate and just so ‘her’. Thanks for supporting me to give my own tribute, and for bringing along those huge, fragrant stems of rosemary for us to lay with her. Love J, C, T and families.
29th November 2019: Hi Paul, I’d just like to tell you what a lovely service it was for Dad on Friday. Everyone who was there commented on how upbeat it was and said it was a really nice send off for him. You done a really good job. Thank you. K and families.
6th December 2019: Paul, we’d like to thank you for the lovely, gentle service you created and led for K at Bentley Crematorium. It was just perfect. Simple, yet dignified and totally in accordance with her final wishes. Thank you for taking the time to listen to get it all just perfect. Many thanks again, M & T.
17th December 2019: Morning Paul, I just wanted to say thank you for such a beautiful service yesterday. We wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. You were great throughout the service, and even the run up to it, taking time to listen to everything we wanted. Thanks again, Laura.
18th December 2019: Thank you, Paul, for the presentation copy of Mum’s Funeral – and for your help on the day – especially bringing along some of your own resources to help make Mum the centre of attention. You really did weave the story of Mum’s life quite excellently and you would wish to know, I’m sure, that I received numerous appreciative comments about the service you led from family afterwards. Love B & D.
19th December 2019: That was absolutely perfect Paul. Short, simple, yet dignified – you listened to exactly what we wanted for A, and your unhurried, calm pace during the service just added to the beauty. Thank you so much and being kind and gentle throughout. Love C and family.
20th December 2019: Paul, what a beautiful service you led for D. Spoken beautifully, it was incredibly moving and, perhaps, one of the best Funerals I have ever attended. How you led the entire service shows the true quality of a job done well, with care and compassion. You made such a difference and, as you know, it was D’s wish to have you lead his service. Thank you again for travelling 140 miles to Nottingham to honour his (and our) wish. Love, M, J and family.
13th January 2020: Just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you for Monday. It was such a lovely service for Dad and I had many compliments afterwards for the way you conducted it. Love J, J, L and families.
13th January 2020: Thank you for everything you have done to support and guide us over the last 2 weeks, Paul. It was such a good send off for C. You did a wonderful job of pulling it all together. Love J, B, S, M, E and families.
14th January 2020: Paul, we wanted to phone you again to thank you for such a brilliant send off for Dad today. You went over and above from the moment we met you, and put so much energy into delivering Dad’s service at Manor Park this morning – with all the laughing and crying, it was a rollercoaster. But you were spot on with everything. We saw nearly everyone coming to thank you personally as soon as the service ended, and we had a great time at the pub afterwards. I’m only too happy to recommend you, if you need it. We’ll be phoning the Funeral Director to pass on our thanks for recommending you to us. B, J, T and families.
16th January 2020: Thank you so much for being here for us again, Paul; for the beautiful service you put together for Mum as we laid her ashes to rest at Bentley Crematorium this afternoon – and also for supplying those lovely, freshly cut stems of rosemary from your own garden for us to place in with her. Such a lovely suggestion of remembrance. Love D, S, M and families.
17th January 2020: Paul. What can we say? Thank you for an incredibly moving and fitting service to remember our dear Mum’s life. It was beautifully led by you; your words, beautifully spoken with warmth and compassion, whilst you gently encouraged full participation from everyone who attended. Thanks, also, for your encouragement and support of me as I read our tribute to Mum. Love R, B, R and families.
22nd January 2020: Dear Paul, I just wanted to thank you so much for all of the effort you put into my Grandad’s service today. Your words were absolutely stunning and you really encapsulated the man he was. You are incredibly talented and I feel very lucky that we’ve had you to arrange it all. Thank you again, so very much. Love, A and family.
23rd January 2020: Dear Paul, I just wanted to write and say a big thank you from all the family. The way you wrote and read the funeral service for my mother was just right. We are all very appreciative of the care you took to get it right. Yours sincerely, L & J and all the family.
29th January 2019: Hi Paul, we just wanted to thank you for doing Grandad’s service for us. It was spot on, and you were simply amazing. Lots of love, L, J, D and families.
3rd February 2020: Well done, Paul. Thanks for such a lovely, gentle send off for J this afternoon and for all your work, especially with the late requests for additional music. It couldn’t have gone any better today. Thanks again, L, C and all of J’s friends.
5th February 2020: From the minute you walked into my home – I knew you, Paul. I knew I was going to be safe with you looking after us and T. I’d been to one of your services at Enfield before and it was all the reassurance I ever needed. Thank you for making his last day so special. You really did him proud. Love A and family.
7th February 2020: Paul, thank you for the beautiful, gentle service you led for S at Upminster this afternoon. It was truly fitting and all of this just through our contact on Skype whilst we were overseas in Cyprus. With all our love, V and W.
10th February 2020: Hi Paul, I am writing on behalf of our family to express our thanks for B’s service you conducted on Monday 10th Feb at Forest Park. We felt it could not have gone better and was both sensitive and respectful. This opinion was echoed by other family members in attendance. We thought you spoke with eloquence and emotion, and your reading of the swan poem with the music coming in, as our goodbye to B, was quite beautiful. We didn’t expect a real rainbow to the closing Eva Cassidy music but it was very unexpected and quite special on the day. I don’t know if you or her late partner, J, ‘upstairs’ had a hand in it ! Once again many thanks for your services and friendly efficiency. Kind regards, K and family.
11th February 2020: Hi Paul I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful send off you gave my Dad at Enfield. One of my neighbours recognised you from a previous service she went to, which you took, and said you were every bit as good again today. We laughed and cried and everyone talked about you back at the Golf Club. Thank you so much for all your support and kindness over the last 2 weeks. Love V.
11th February 2020: Well done, Paul. Thank you for a lovely service for Mum today. Beautifully led – and topped off with Gemma who sang our 3 songs. It was full of all the class Mum deserved before we laid her gently to rest outside, looking over the area she lived in her whole life. Many thanks, D and families.
13th February 2020: Hi Paul. Thank you so much for your handling of the service for Mum. I can honestly say it far exceeded all my expectations – and you did too. You have a wonderful ability to speak words provided, I don’t think I have ever been to a funeral where the celebrant was able to do what you did for us during Mum’s service. Coming from you speaking the words, it was as if you had known Mum and the family for years. You impart them in such a warm way. It’s a great natural talent which is very rare to find. THANK YOU so much… In my mind you brought to life the idea of one last special memory for a very special person. I am and always will be completely indebted to you for what you did for us and for Mum. Very best wishes to you, and, again, “thank you” from the bottom of my heart. Love J, C, T and families.
14th February 2020: WOW! That was amazing Paul. Celebrants vary, but you were something else! Thank you for leading D’s service today. The way you encouraged us to create the service with gentle guidance was wonderful. We knew what we wanted, and you delivered. It was the perfect send off for him – spot on and so appropriate. As you saw, it had us laughing a lot one minute, and crying the next. It mattered – simple as that. Love O, V, V and family.
17th February 2020: Paul, thank you for such a beautiful service for Mum. You were brilliant from start to finish. Despite being tight for time, the whole service felt unhurried and timeless. We really couldn’t have asked for it to have gone any better. Thank you, Love C and family.
18th February 2020: Well done, Paul. Thank you for a beautiful Funeral for Mum and for wearing your blue and white tie to go with our Spurs theme. She would have loved it. Love M, R and family.
19th February 2020: Thank you Paul – you really captured I’s character so well. You picked some absolutely beautiful songs, when I had no idea myself – and I know how much effort you went to, to find pieces which fit with our story so it made each one even more special. Many of my friends are nurses and are hard to get upset…but I know your last words moved many of them to tears – they, and the way you spoke them, were simply stunning. Love, L.
21st February 2020: Hi Paul. Thank you for such a wonderful service at Enfield. You are such an amazing orator and had such a magical way when explaining what a great life my Mum had. We certainly had a few people who didn’t realise all that she had done. We did actually enjoy the service, which bought us a lot of comfort. And – thank you again – for wearing your superb Lederhosen at our request as a final nod to Mum’s Austrian Heritage. You looked amazing. Love C & P.
25th February 2020: Hi Paul, we just all wanted to thank you again for the brilliant send off you gave Dad yesterday. From start to finish you have been nothing short of brilliant, and the way you talked about Dad yesterday was superb. You encouraged, guided and supported us through an incredibly difficult farewell bringing out the best of Dad’s amusing life. The crowning glory was leaving the pile of Cadbury’s miniatures on his coffin as we left so he had chocolate for his next journey. Even the Funeral Director said it was one of the nicest Funerals she’d ever been to, so I suppose that’s definitely saying something! Love N, D, P and families.
26th February 2020: Thank you for a nice, gentle service for D today. You listened and provided exactly what we needed in a very brief but dignified farewell to him. Best wishes, J & C.
6th March 2020: Dear Paul. I just wanted to say thank you for today. I felt you led the service beautifully and set just the right tone for M. Several people told me how much they enjoyed the service and that was because of you. I liked the small touches that you added to make the service personal to us and I really appreciate everything you did to make the service run smoothly. Thank you once again. S and family.
11th March 2020: Paul, that was amazing. Such a beautiful, fitting and moving service for Mum. You delivered it with care and affection, dotting your I’s and crossing your T’s when you spoke, as you knew this was how Mum was from what we told you. And she would have loved your freshly pressed trousers – you could have cut your finger on those creases. Standards mattered – you did her proud. Love P, L D and families.
12th March 2020: Thank you so much for today Paul. Another funeral for our family, your Auntie. I think everyone was very touched and moved by your words – not a dry eye in the house as they say – and not easy for you to deliver a whole 35 minute service to your own family relatives. The friends of ours that were their only lost their brother last year to dementia and had their own grief, but said the words you spoke meant so much to them too. It wouldn’t have meant anywhere near as much without you. Thank you again. Love K, G, R and C and family.
16th March 2020: Paul – thank you for your lovely service for F. The time you took with us, and how you communicated it on the day was beautiful. Love J and family.
19th March 2020: ‘Thank you from the Cole family’. Paul – wanted to say thank you so much for everything today. Steff would have been so pleased. Thanks again for your idea to record the service. What an inspirational thought since so many people couldn’t attend. All the flowers were beautiful and the scent as we walked into the chapel at Forest Park was amazing. The thought and effort that went into today was not lost on us – and you supported us in making this happen. You were so respectful and listened perfectly to the family and made what (as you know) was a very difficult day so much more bearable. You caught and captured the essence that was or Steff. Love, G, M, C, P and families.
20th March 2020: Hi Paul. Just wanted to say Thank you for a lovely service for my Dad yesterday. Heartbreaking time, then to add the virus situation. So many people didn’t come but I still felt he had a nice send off considering the situation. I had a few people say to me after they felt you knew my dad and it was a lovely service. Stay safe. G and family.
25th March 2020: Hi Paul. Thank you so much for today’s service for Dad. From arranging the service to you delivering it was spot on. We couldn’t have asked for any more of you today. Your suggestion to relay the service on the crematorium’s external speakers to those outside who couldn’t come in due to the COVID-19 restrictions at Enfield, was brilliant. They all sat in the sunshine and heard every word perfectly clear. We could hear them all laughing along to some of the stories too – and they all had the Order of Service before we started. You have been very helpful and made these tough times that bit easier for us all. Thanks again, and stay safe. W, B, L, J and families.
27th March 2020: Hi Paul, I just wanted to thank you for the fantastic job you did on Friday. Apart from the fact that we were missing some important people, Mum’s funeral was exactly as I would have wanted it. You managed to pitch it in just the right way for a family that had really done its grieving some time ago and now just wanted to remember Mum as the lovely, always laughing person she was, to say “cheerio” and then see her laid to rest in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. I am so glad you were pleased with D’s recording and photos. It will be lovely to share them with Mum’s neighbours when I eventually get to see them. I hope you manage to steer your way through the choppy financial waters ahead and, rest assured, should anyone I know find themselves in need of a funeral celebrant, I shall be passing on your details. Many thanks and best wishes, W, C and families.
27th March 2020: Paul, you did a wonderful job for us today, laying Dad to rest in the brief, dignified way he would have wanted. He loved the sunshine, and to have it – and clear blue skies on his last day was very fitting. Thank you again, B & family.
30th March 2020: Thank you, Paul, so much for encouraging us to have a service for Dad – and for making it so special and personal. It was absolutely the best thing we could have done given the circumstances around COVID-19. See you for the memorial service in September. Love T and family.
31st March 2020: Thanks for such a wonderful service for Dad, Paul. We’re so pleased Katie recommended you to us. Love A, E, G, I and families.
7th April 2020: What a brilliant job you did, Paul. Even as soon as we came out, people who had watched the service by webcast were taxing us to say how lovely it was. Considering we never met in person until today, your support and care of our family was excellent – especially to the 2 grand children who had never been to a funeral before – thank you for your keen eye, beautiful words and your attention to every single small detail. Love K, E and family.
8th April 2020: Hi Paul, I just want to thank you for our farewell to Mum yesterday. The words you had written were lovely and summed up Mum perfectly. I was dreading the service because it wasn’t what Mum had planned as she had wanted all her friends to attend. Some of her friends, neighbours and colleagues did say a farewell to her as they stood along the roads leading to Greenacres and Mum would have loved it and felt like royalty. In a way because of the situation, it was that we had our own personal farewell to Mum and felt we had done her proud. Once our lives are back to normal and we can plan Mum’s memorial to celebrate her life with all the people in her life we will certainly be in touch. Thank you again. Kind regards, K, J, S and families.
9th April 2020: Paul – thank you for just a beautifully well thought out service for John this afternoon. You really keyed in the significance of his favourite music, and I know the lengths you went to, to research that for us. It was superb. From all J’s family.
17th April 2020: Thank you so much for today, Paul. You were superb for Dad’s Funeral in February, and I knew you would be again today. With all my love, V.
20th April 2020: That was perfect, Paul. Indeed, it was an incredibly difficult goodbye today, but you put everything together so well from our phone call. You’ve been fantastic, and such a support. Love, J
21st April 2020: Thank you for such a sweet, short but extremely moving service for J today, Paul. You really moved everyone with your touching tribute to her life as we laid her to rest, reuniting her with her husband. Thank you for all your support. Love P.
22nd April 2020: Dear Paul. Thank you for performing a wonderful service today, you spoke so eloquently about Jean-Marc and captured him so very accurately, that is a feat indeed. Please accept my sincere thanks and very best wishes. P.
22nd April 2020: Dear Paul. Thank you so much for conducting my son’s funeral in Mortlake. We were so impressed by the way you managed to get across the man he was in a very natural way. You had the absolute right mix of solemnity, respect and humour. We are very, very grateful to you that from a tragic event you managed to leave us with a peaceful feeling in our hearts. We wish you all success in the future. You certainly deserve it. L & B.
24th April 2020: Hi Paul. I hope this email finds you well. I would just like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful tribute you gave to us all yesterday, so deeply moving and I know I can speak for my mum, brothers and our children that we will treasure that forever. I hope you were able to feel the love we had for our dad in the room….he was a true GENTLEman in every sense of the word,, a rare thing these days but we take so much comfort in knowing how he was exactly the same to everyone else who had the honour to know and love him. A very special, special man. A beautiful setting and glorious sunshine just added to the serenity of it all. Thank you for sharing that moment with us when we have been denied the comfort of extended family friends and colleagues. I wish you peace. With fondest regards. P, M, S J and families.
28th April 2020: Thank you for such a gentle and loving service for P at Parndon Wood this afternoon…it was extremely moving and was just the perfect goodbye to him. Love J and families.
29th April 2020: Dear Paul. Thank you so much for all that you ahve done for me and my family at this very sad time for us. Your kindness and patience is much appreciated. Love M and families.
1st May 2020: Thank you for conducting a beautiful service at Greenacres for Mum, Paul. Even though the rain was torrential, it was unhurried and beautiful with the sunshine just coming out at the very end. Love A and families.
4th May 2020: Paul, I’d really like to thank you for conducting such a heartfelt, loving service for Mum this afternoon at Bentley. Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time. With all our love.
7th May 2020: Paul. We’d like to say a big thank you for leading Mum’s service at Forest Park this afternoon – and for your gentle encouragement to us to go the little bit further with some very personal additions of Mum’s favourite snacks on the coffin. It was just beautiful. Love K and families.
7th May 2020: Hi Paul. Thank you for leading Mum’s beautiful and dignified service at City of London today. You’ve been superb again, having supported our family once before. It meant so much to have you again today. Thank you, also, for your beautifully produced presentation copy of Mum’s service. Love I and family.

Love C and families.
12th May 2020: Paul…you got it just right. We may have only been 2 mourners in the chapel during these difficult times, but I’d like to thank you for listening and providing exactly what we asked for in this very brief and gentle farewell to Pat. Love J and families.
13th May 2020: Dear Paul. What can we say? Dad/Brian knew he wanted you to take his Funeral last year. Thank you so much for fulfilling his wish and making a 560 miles round-trip to Lytham / St. Anne’s for him and us. The way you guided us through everything so smoothly, from our WhatsApp video meeting, to writing the service up and collating memories from Dad’s friends and colleagues, you were perfect. No fuss – just working quietly away. It can’t have been easy for you to speak about Dad, being as you knew him so well and were good friends, but your professionalism shone through, and the service was greatly appreciated by everyone who watched it on both livestreams. Love A, D, S and families.
14th May 2020: Paul…this afternoon’s service in the sunshine at Greenacres was beautifully conducted by yourself, for Dad. So many little touches that bought the very best of him back to us on hsi final day. Love S and families.
18th May 2020: I wanted to thank you again Paul for leading D’s service at Parndon Wood this afternoon. It really was a lovely service. Thank you, M and families.
20th May 2020: Paul. It was fate that your website came up when we searched. You understood exactly what I wanted for J and provided it, delivering the service superbly this afternoon. No fuss…you worked with what I gave you and recommended a contact of yours for the Order of Service who did exactly the same for me. They were simply beautiful clearly made with love. I will treasure your work always. Love J.
21st May 2020: Hi Paul, Lynn and I would like to say thank you so much for helping us through the planning of Mums ceremony at this difficult time for us all. 10th June 2020: That really was a superb service for J. Thanks for all the little adjustments you continued to make for us to get it perfect on the day – we couldn’t be more grateful. As D said “J would have been so proud of the send-off he got at Forest Park”. Love D, J, A, and families.
11th June 2020: Hello Paul. Thank you so much for this beautiful presentation script of Mum’s service. It was a wonderful surprise when I opened the envelope – to think I’d just asked you for an email copy to send to several who weren’t able to be there on Thursday! It was such a beautiful service, I did feel sad that numbers were so limited, but this will be perfect to forward to those absent and, of course, something for me to look back on when I think of Mum in the future.
I would again like to express my gratitude for the professional way you guided me through the planning of the service, all in such a friendly manner and in the most difficult of circumstances. I am very happy in the knowledge that we couldn’t possibly have given my dear Mum a better farewell. Sincere thanks and warm regards, John.
22nd June 2020: Paul, please accept this small token of our appreciation for the way you conducted Mum’s Funeral. I know it was such an upsetting day, but you led her Ceremony perfectly at Parndon Wood and it really could not have been a more fitting farewell to her. Love P and family.
23 June 2020: Hi Paul…just a quick note to say thank you for the beautiful service you led for Mum yesterday afternoon. It was a wonderful tribute to her life.
6th July 2020: What can we say, Paul? As soon as we knew you were available, it put our minds at rest. You were brilliant at Mum’s Funeral last year and we wanted no one else but you to look after Dad. Yet again, a super tribute to his life. Thank you, again, for taking such excellent care of us at another difficult time. Love, M, S, L and families.
6th July 2020: Paul, thank you for everything you did to make D’s send off perfect this afternoon. You’ve been so kind and helpful throughout all the time we were planning things – and you gave me exactly what I wanted on the day – a ‘not too long’ ‘best bits’ Funeral, of all the good and happy times we all shared together. Love C, K, T and families.
7th July 2020: Paul, thanks for everything you have done to make Mum’s send off one to remember. You looked after us so well on the day, and everyone really ‘got into’ the service. Love C and families.
7th July 2020: Paul, what a wonderful service. You really have a unique skill and ability to talk about people and to get a whole life covered so well within difficult time constraints. The service flowed beautifully, leading smoothly from one element to the next. It was such a difficult afternoon for all of us, saying goodbye to C, but you have been so gentle and supportive, and for that we are truly grateful. Love from P, M, H, G and families.
23rd July 2020: Oh Paul, what a beautiful service. You’ve been great without even having met us until the afternoon of L’s Funeral. We couldn’t have wished for a more gentler, fitting send-off for him. Love, E, J and family.
29th July 2020: Paul, we must say how lovely and helpful you have been to us. Taking all the time to listen and put Mum’s story together. We were so upset, and it was such a sad, poignant day. But you bought that ‘sense of occasion’ as Mum would have wanted. And, once I started listening to you tell Mum’s story, I actually really enjoyed listening to it all back – my friends all said what a beautiful, calming voice you had. Lots of love from L, R and families.
4th August 2020: Dear Paul, I would just like to express our thanks on behalf of the family with the way in which you conducted the service in celebrating Don’s life. Only two days ago, my friend in Australia contacted me to say how touched and impressed she was in the way that you made the service very personal. This comment was reiterated by several others. Thanks once again. Yours sincerely. Carol.
7th August 2020: Paul, thank you, once again for another beautiful, but totally different service. We didn’t think we’d be needing you again just 2 weeks after the last Funeral you did for us – but we were so glad you were available again. Thank you for giving my dear Sister such a wonderful service. How you even got through the beautiful words you had written, I’ll never know. Thank you for everything you have done for us over this last few weeks. Love E and family.

I think my Mum had a wonderful send off between you, me and our family members that came to say goodbye to her at Enfield. I feel a bit lost now but just another emotion to deal with at this time. Well, thanks for everything Paul, you’ve been wonderful – so down to earth and so easy to get on with. I wont forget you. Take care and keep safe. Luv Brenda x
13th August 2020: Dear Paul, I thought everything went really well today. The journey between Greenacres and the crematorium felt a bit like being in the ‘Essex’ poem by John Betjeman! What a lovely vista from the hall at Greenacres? Thank you for reading the poem and your help. I think that Pam will look back on this as the funeral she wanted for Colin, and you made it all happen seemlessly. Best wishes, Jo.
14th August 2020: Thank you again for the wonderful service you gave for my Dad last week. Your words were so appropriate, especially after the loss of Mum such a short time (9 weeks) ago. Their farewells were suitably different, but you brought them together in such a perfect way. Thank you also for all the help and support you gave to me in the most difficult circumstances, in the most difficult eleven weeks I have ever known. With love, R, J, S, T and families.

24th August 2020: Paul…thank you for giving Dad a lovely send off at Upminster on Monday. Even the curtains not closing was something which raised a smile…it would be typical of Dad not to want to leave as it was ‘Wetherspoons Monday’ down the pub. Thank you for all your support and help though over the short time we’ve been in contact. Love P and family.

9th September 2020: From Facebook feedback from the family: ‘Paul rceently led the service for my Mother’s Funeral, and did so with professionalism, empathy and love. He really took the time to get to know our family in such a short amount of time, yet he came up with a service which was just perfect and so fitting for my beautiful Mum. Nothing was too much trouble and Paul was totally understanding and helpful when we adjusted some of the tribute and suggested so alternative closings to make it the service which was perfect for us. Thank you, Paul. you are one guy who is totally in the right job!” Love, Michael, Michelle and Julie.
10th September 2020: Paul, we all just wanted to thank you for leading such a beautiful service for our dear Mum today at South Essex Crematorium. From the moment you were recommended to us by our Funeral Director and came round to meet our family, we just knew you were the right person for the job. On the day, it was so upsetting for us having lost Mum so suddenly, but we knew you had all our backs, and to say you did Mum proud was an understatement. Thank you again, so much, for everything you have done to support our family. Love, Sharon, Darren and families. x

1st June 2021: Thanks for all of your help and support over the last 10 days Paul – and for leading such a heartfelt service in the most difficult of circumstances. As soon as I read your beautiful words, I was in tears. The sun shone bright on his final day…just as I’d wished. Love C and family.
2nd June 2021: Dear Paul, I had intended to speak to you after D’s service last week, but found myself travelling home having missed the opportunity. I had been anxious about organising such an important occasion, but with your help and thoughtful contribution, we were able to remember D with sadness in our hearts, but also with a smile. Someone so special to me – and I am sure the loving goodbye from everyone would have pleased and comforted him. Thank you so much for being with us. Love D & the whole family.
4th June 2021: Hi Paul, I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful service for Dave yesterday. I was so pleased with how it all came together and represented his life in a celebratory way. Everyone who was there and those who watched online have said how fitting it and moving it was. Best wishes , Sharon.
7th June 2021: Dear Paul, Thank you so much for helping make R’s Funeral the celebration of his life that we wanted. We are indebted to you for your consideration and understanding of our need to convey his character throughout the service. We have heard from friends who watched via the internet, and their reaction was the same as friends and family who were at the actual service: ‘You did him proud!’ Love B and family.
11th June 2021: Dear Paul. Thank you so much for the wonderful tribute to my Johnny. Everything was perfect. We did look for you afterwards to come back for a drink, but someone said you had to get off quickly. Anyway Paul, thanks again for everything you’ve done for us. You done him proud – and please accept this gesture and have a bottle of wine on John. Love L and family.
14th June 2021: Paul – thank you for a lovely service for M. It was so personal to him, we couldn’t have asked for me. Love N J and M’s family.
18th June 2021: (23rd June) Dear Paul, Thank you so much for conducting Jim’s service last week. It was everything I wanted it to be. Meeting you last year through C at his Funeral was one of those lucky moments in life. Isn’t it strange how life can happen. Many friends have spoken of your sensitivity and natural style. You have a real gift – and ‘thank you’ for it. Best wishes for the future, Jo & Helen.

Everyone commented on how lovely the service was and how it was a real tribute to mum’s life. One of my friends who watched the webcast said it was the best eulogy they had seen. It helped to ease the pain of the loss of mum and remember her in her best times. Thank you again, Best regards, Lesley.
Thank you for such a touching and moving tribute to Mum’s life – you captured it all so well. Thanks, also, for all your kind help and support over the last week. Best wishes, L & M.
15th July 2021: Dear Paul: I cannot thank you enough for all that you did to give my Dad, Mike, such an elegant and caring farewell. Your support, advice, wisdom and caring organisation was outstanding from start to finish. I meant it when I said it was one of the best Funerals I have ever been to – and I’ve been to many. Your words throughout the Ceremony were perfect: Mum was so pleased. You made her feel proud of Mike, rather than sad and mournful. A Funeral for a husband of 66 years could not be more painful, but you turned it into something very special and memorable. Simple, elegant, graceful, caring and deeply respectful. Paul – a million thanks. Bets wishes, Phil and family.
16th July 2021: Paul – I don’t need to guess whether that went well, I can absolutely tell you that it did. You gave A such a good send-off and we were so pleased to see everyone get totally behind your Doctor Who themed words of committal – one of his greatest sci-fi passions! Thanks for all that you’ve done for us. S & B.
23rd July 2021: Dear Paul, Many sincere thanks for the gentle farewell you gave my Sister this afternoon at New Southgate. It was just perfect for her – you ‘got’ what I was after and I couldn’t have been more pleased with how gently you lead us. P.
26th July 2021: Dear Paul, Thank you so much for the superb send-off you gave Mum. You knew I wanted to have a Green use Celebrant – and you didn’t disappoint. The feedback I have been receiving from family and friends has been 100% positive. They all thought you were wonderful. Lots of love, Christine.
27th July 2021: Thank you for the lovely service you gave for J at Weeley Crematorium, taking the time to do two home visits, to family and friends to bring her 93 years together. We were so impressed with how you told her story on the day – it was as if you’d known her the whole time. Thank you for all your understanding and support over the last month you’ve helped us. From S, P and J.
30th July 2021: Paul. That was absolutely perfect! I can not thank you enough for everything you have done for us as a family. You listened and articulated what needed to be said so well – saying that I wanted to say myself, but couldn’t. Not only did you do that, but you created the healing space we all needed so much. I couldn’t have asked for more from you. With thanks, D, V and family.
12th August 2021: Dear Paul. Thank you so much for all the work you have undertaken for my uncles funeral. We have had feedback now from the family in Australia and in Sunderland saying how lovely your service was and that it would have been just what Ken would have wanted, and how glad they were to have taken part at a distance. Also thank you for being ‘David Bailey’ and taking snaps of us all together; usually someone is missing while they perform that service so it was much appreciated. Many thanks again and best wishes, Janet.
12th August 2021: Many thanks for all your hard work for G’s Funeral. You supported us so well and you really do have a talent for speaking. Love I & S and family.
13th August 2021: Thanks for all you did for us at R’s service at Enfield this afternoon. It all went off perfectly. With thanks, J, S and families.
18th August 2021: I was so pleased you were recommended to me, Paul. The service you created for Mum was just perfect and gave me all the space I needed to talk about her life, which was so important to me. Many thanks again, S.
24th August 2021: Paul.I just had to say thank you once again for your amazing contribution to Mum’s funeral. We could not have had a more perfect send off for her. Every tiny aspect, even the weather, played out perfectly. The most important part of the proceedings was always going to be the words spoken. Passing the responsibility of speaking about our lovely Mum was a difficult task. But we knew as soon as we met that this was going to work. You skilfully elicited valuable pieces of information about her life and character and put it together perfectly. The delivery was equally superb. Every person at the funeral couldn’t believe you weren’t part of the family such was your summation of all of the facets of her life. You are now officially an honorary member of the Power family! Paul, on behalf of myself, T, C and all the family our sincere thanks and appreciation. Kindest regards, V.
26th August 2021: Dear Paul, We were so glad that you were available to do Mum’s Funeral after you did such a wonderful job at Nan’s last month. The space you created for Mum, was just so full of love. Everyone deeply appreciated the opportunity of writing messages on cards to go with Mum on her final journey – so many people didn’t get to say goodbye in person, and that give them their own voice on the day. Bless you, Paul. Love R, C and all of C’s family.
02 September 2021: Paul, thank you for helping us again with laying Mum & Dad’s ashes to rest this afternoon. It was lovely to have you with us after you led their funerals back in January. With all our love, Sue & Keith.
06 September 2021: Paul, the whole service you put together for Mum was just brilliant. we couldn’t have given her a better send off. You really did her (and us) proud. J, H, J and Families.
09 September 2021: Thank you for all your support over the last two and a half weeks, Paul. You gave R such a beautiful service this afternoon – and accommodated some very last minute changes. It was horrendous for all of us – how do you say goodbye to someone so young. But you talked about her life in such a respectful, yet down to earth way and made it all about the love. Many thanks again, B & L.
13 September 2021: Paul…Well done on leading our full double slot Funeral for Dave. We knew we had the best man for the job and everyone spoke about you at the wake: Form how clearly you spoke, to how calm you were. Your guidance, support and reassurance have all been deeply appreciated. I, D and E.
25th September 2021: Paul, once again, you and N absolutely surpassed all our expectations in delivering such a special and heartfelt service as we said goodbye today. We can’t thank you enough for being available. J & A.
13th October 2021: For the third time Paul, we can honestly say that your service for Dad was unforgettable and truly worth the wait to have you lead it. Everyone thought the afternoon went off perfectly. With love, P & D.
22nd October 2021: Paul, Just wanted to say a great big ‘thank you’ for conducting such a beautiful service for John on Friday. You made such a hard day into something we will remember always. Many thanks, Anne & family.
22nd October 2021: Dear Paul, Thank you, thank you for being our Celebrant at Dad’s funeral yesterday! From your very first contact with us, you were professional, thoughtful and just so kind and you made the planning exceptionally easy for us. The whole family was delighted with the Service and how all of the arrangements went and, most importantly, we know that Dad would be very happy too. So many there yesterday commented on how personal the service was and that it reflected Dad so well. Many also noted that it was as if you had known Dad too – it was so evident that you had asked us all of the right questions when we met not even a week ago; that you had listened to and observed Anne and I carefully; and that you then invested time and love into ensuring your words were personal and fitting, weaving in the various themes so cleverly. As I said on the phone, your contributions were “brilliant” and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. We also really appreciated the opportunity of being able to read the entire service through in advance as it meant we could relax – there would be no surprises. Personally, despite everything, I ‘enjoyed’ Dad’s funeral more than any other I have attended, I think, because it felt so comfortable and right from start to finish. How wonderful!
27th October 2021: Dear Paul, I would just like to thank you on behalf of myself and everyone who attended the service for Angie. You did a marvellous job and treated the words, sentiments and music with the utmost professionalism and thoughtfulness. Angie would have approved of everything we planned for her, although she wouldn’t have liked the fuss! I will remember for a very long time everything that went into the service today – and you were largely responsible for that. With many thanks and all good wishes, Christine.
28th October 2021: Dear Paul. How serendipitous to be looking online for pictures of the chapels at Chelmsford Crematorium and find not just those, but a truly gifted Celebrant to lead Dad’s service. All the family commented on what a lovely service it was – as did the Funeral Director herself – who said she’s seen many in her time, but this would count as one of the best. Together, I think we gave Dad the beautiful, warm send-off he deserved and the whole family are grateful to you for that. With my thanks and warmest wishes, Sue & Alan.
4th November 2021: Paul, thank you for your professionalism today and for making what was such a difficult and stressful time for all of us as gentle and loving as it could be. Your guidance, empathy and support have shone out from beginning to end. Sarah & Susan.
5th November 2021: Hi Paul, I just want to say a big thank you. You did a fabulous job in putting together the eulogy for Dave’s service, having only met the family for a couple of hours. Everyone said it was a great tribute to him. You played a huge part in helping us get through a very difficult day and I can’t thank you enough for your skill and sensitivity. Best wishes, Carole
12th November 2021: I was delighted when Paul was recommended to me for my Mum’s Funeral, as I had first witnessed his work at another service three years ago. But now, this was my mothers funeral, so I wanted it all to be as good as it possible could. Paul did not disappoint. Extremely professional from our first meeting right through to delivering a befitting service, Paul’s work is excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend him. Kevin H.
15th November 2021: Paul – thank you from all of us for leading such a lovely tribute to J. It made everyone smile – even the occasional laugh – as we remembered all the good and happy times we all shared throughout his more than 9 decades. Love A and family.
16th November 2021: Paul, we all wanted to say a huge thank you for the service you led for Mum at City of London. It was perfect. With many thanks again, S and family.
25th November 2021: Thank you so much for today, Paul. Everyone has said how lovely it was and how well you did for J, so thank you for leading the service. He would have got on with you well, I think – and I think he would have been touched by everyone’s kindness. It takes a pretty special person to be able to do your job – you do it so well, and it really makes a big difference to have someone so lovely. Thank you again Paul. Kind regards, Emma and family.
29th November 2021: Hi Paul. We were so glad you were available for us again to lead Mum’s service, having only last helped us barely 6 months ago. We really did appreciate your input, empathy and compassion at this sad time in our lives, and Mum’s tribute was wonderful. Many people commented on the facts that they had learned about Mum through her tribute and, as a family, we feel we did Mum proud! Once again a big ‘thank you’ from all of us.
30th November 2021: Paul, thank you for such a lovely service for A this afternoon – and for putting together a few finishing touches to make it more personal. You bought it all together perfectly, and even last minute changes whilst the service was going on didn’t fluster you – you simply capitalised on the free time and, without missing a beat, kindly gave someone else the opportunity to speak in the minutes set aside – that made such a huge difference. Many thanks again, L & L.
7th December 2021: Hi Paul, I just wanted to thank you for the lovely service you performed on Tuesday 7th December for Dad’s funeral. We are so grateful for the time and effort you took to ensure that the eulogy captured Dad and his life. Everyone who attended the wake expressed how impressed they were with what was said, and how heartfelt it was, so thank you for putting in so much effort to say what we felt needed saying, but were unable to say ourselves. We spent the following five hours laughing and remembering Dad, which has helped us deal with the grief we are both feeling. Once again, thank you again for helping make what was a difficult day a little easier to bear. Kind regards and best wishes, L & A.
8th December 2021: Dear Paul, Just a quick email to say thank you so very much for making today so very well and fitting to Dad. From dealing with us before and during the lead-up to the service, to your calm and considerate presence during it, you helped ensure that it was both an event that those attending enjoyed, and which dad himself would have been pleased with. Many people commented afterwards as to the amazing service – and also in relation to you in particular – as to how well you conducted the service and imparted the essence of Dad. A couple of people even asked if you were family as it was delivered with so much feeling. Thank you, also, for allowing the longest funeral ever to find its way to Greenacres that day at 1 hour 22 minutes. Many people said they actually didn’t want it to end! I think they were quite taken by the content of dads life! Again thank you for your care of us, and for how you ensured every detail for today went as well as it did. M & T.
13th December 2021: Paul – everyone thought it was the perfect service for JB’s big character. The way you spoke about him was amazing, even speaking some of the service in French (which made a huge difference to people watching from France). I am also grateful that you provided a French translation of the entire service for JB’s brother to follow on the day. Many thanks again for all you have done to support us. K & Family.
15th December 2021: Thanks for all you did for us for Mum’s service today – everyone thought it communicated Mum’s essence beautifully – and it really must take it out of you on the day putting so much effort in to delivering your services to this high standard. With much appreciation, A, S and family.
16th December 2021: Paul, I’d like to thank you for all you’ve doen for me and my family in the lead up to Mum’s funeral, and on the day itself at Enfield. I couldn’t have asked for more from you – you’ve been incredibly kind. With warmest wishes, K and family
